If you go through my portfolio, it’s no secret shooting in Midtown Harrisburg is among my favorite places to shoot. When making location suggestions for your senior session, I always like to ensure that wherever I suggest has ALL the variety to get you what you want. I include several pages of ideas for locations in the magazine I send out to each potential client so that you know just how much time we put into making sure we aren’t just taking everyone to the exact same spots. I want your session to be reflective of the vibes YOU want and as such am ALWAYS scouting and keeping an eye out for places that will uniquely capture your vibe. And even if it’s a place I shot at often? I always make it a point to take your outfits and YOUR specific style into account, so that no matter how often I shoot somewhere, it is reflective of you.

Kendall wanted some urban flair, but also wanted nature to make its appearance in the mix as well so Midtown and State Street areas was where we decided was perfect for her. As we were moving along through her session, the sky started to look pretty darn ominous. I referenced the 2908320832 weathers apps on my phone and thought we had more time than we actually DID before the sky’s opened up.

And what happened when they did? OMG we made some dangflam magic, that’s what we did!

To this day, I’ll never forget the memories we made shooting in the rain and just rolling with what Mother Nature threw at us that day. We got some one-of-a-kind images and made some fun memories. And can we give a shout out to my girls at MKUP the Beauty Studio???!!! Because even when the rain started coming down, Kendalls’ make up looked BOMB until the last frame.
