Hey, it’s Ingrid here with our first ever Where to Hang Wednesday Post!!
When Emil brought me on as an intern, I came up with a handful of ideas on how to really add some new and fun elements to the blog for our readers and Slice Senior clients…THIS WAS ONE OF THEM!
I’m super excited to encourage teens, like me to get out there and explore our area, especially the city of Harrisburg! There is so much happening in our little city and guys, you are missing out! From the hidden street art that Emil introduced me to (Thanks Sprocket Mural Works ), cute little restaurants, cafes of all sorts…Harrisburg is pretty cool. These features will be a chance for us to highlight different hotspots and hidden gems all over Harrisburg.
Now, most people that live near the city have heard of Little Amps and love their coffee! But while most of my friends are more familiar with the Little Amps on State Street, many have not visited the one on Green Street! I have to say, having been to both, I definitely prefer the Green Street location because it’s the original, feels bigger, and has free parking (which is nice when it’s not super crowded!) What caught my eye immediately when I walked in to Green Street is that you’ll see an array of records that have music from your parents’ generation to ours! Guys, they have cassette tapes too!!
But the best part about Little Amps isn’t just all the cute details and the atmosphere, it’s the coffee! My favorite is the iced mocha and Emil’s is the iced almond milk latte. And with this killer coffee themed mural in the back by local artist, Stephen Michael Haas, you have a perfect backdrop to snag a few quick selfies with your friends and of course your cup of coffee. To see Little Amps full menu offerings, list of upcoming events/concerts, and directions to each location visit them HERE. Have a favorite local hang that you want to share with the world? Shoot me an email at intern@sliceoflimephotography.com titled: WHERE TO HANG WEDNESDAY and give me the details! If we love it and think other teens will too, we’ll make it a point to visit & share it here too! Get out an explore friends!!
