Keeping up with the Nieces

While their mama was in the hospital recovering from the unexpected early arrival of their little sister, I got to spend time with my seven and four year old niece. Thrown into the mix at times was their little cousin too.

Keeping up with them was no easy task.

We played tag, we ate ice cream, we played with Moshi monsters, we played on iPads, we watched Lollaloopsy on TV, we threw rocks in the stream, we counted frogs, we searched for four leaf clovers, and went on a scavenger hunt adventure in the woods….those were just a few of the things we did together.

Two days later…I’m still feeling the exhaustion, but I wouldn’t trade a minute of the time I got to spend with them. (Ok well maybe I would trade the whole “lack-of-sleep-due-to-getting-kicked-punched-and-almost-pushed-off-the-bed” part….)
