One of my absolute favorite things is seeing my seniors ease into their sessions and open up as we go along.

Meghan booked our Style Editorial Session last summer, which meant she got five outfits and two locations included in her session. That allowed for her to get some shots that showcased her more edgy side in downtown Harrisburg before we hopped in the car and headed to the farm that’s been in her family for years and and years and years to get all those sentimental photos that mom was dying to get.  (Speaking of mom’s, my seniors’ moms are a whole other level of awesome.  Meghan’s mom was not only a killer side kick bringing Meghan’s outfits and jewelry all impeccably organized, but she also packed an entire cooler full of drinks and iced coffee and snacks for us to snack on throughout the shoot.)

Meghan is a very talented artist and I was thrilled when she mentioned during her consultation that she wanted to incorporate a large self portrait she had painted on canvas into her shoot. I wish I had gotten a Behind-the-Scene shot of that as we clipped the large canvas to a piece of edging I have and her aunt and mom stood on their tippy toes holding it up in the background. ha ha ha. Her family property had no shortage of amazing locations to shoot & I may or may not have almost peed my pants when we pulled up, and unbeknownst to me there was a small, old greenhouse next to the farmhouse.  My seniors…making my dreams come true in more ways than one. :)

We shot until the sun set which allowed us to play around with some slow shutter and off camera lighting. The slow shutter images are a bit spooky and different for me, but they were perfect for Meghan and her love of art.  Scroll on through and enjoy some of my favorites!
