Stephanie here with our last behind the scenes Q&A with a Slice Senior. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t on the edge-of-my-seat, can’t-sit-still-excited for Emil to share Kelly’s photos with the world. Kelly is the sister of close friend of mine, so if she was anything like your older siblings, I knew she was going to be way cool. Boy was I right. I met with Kelly at her house to pick out her styled looks, and sure enough we ended up shopping in her closet right along with her sister and HER MOM’s closet! One. Cool. Family.
Kelly arrived at Lush 317 the morning of our shoot with no make up and her hair all-natural. Girlfriend was already looking like she was ready for the cover of the Winter Anthropologie Catalog. Between the added curls, a touch of mascara, the snow, the flannel, the boots and scarves, this shoot was truly a winter wonderland. Kelly’s confidence and undeniable beauty mixed with perfect location and Emil’s eye for capturing every right look and angle let the images produced from this shoot speak for themselves.
Q: What was your favorite outfit from your shoot? Why?
A: My favorite outfit was the layered plaid with long tan cardigan! I like wearing layers and I think it went best with the woodsy background!
Q: What do you think your style says about you?
A: My style is very laid back and loose.. I love cardigans and I rarely leave the house without one!
Q: Where do you get your style inspiration?
A: I get my style inspiration from the old Miley Cyrus! She use to wear long cardigan with skinny jeans and I absolutely loved it!
Q: In just a line or two, how would your friends describe you?
A: Silly, laid back.
Q: What advice would you give other seniors when they’re booking their session with Slice of Lime?
A: Make sure you pick outfits that you love. Also during the shoot, be yourself!
Q: What was your favorite part of the experience with Slice of Lime?
A: Definitely seeing the end results. My pictures turned out beautiful!
Q: What makes you feel alive? Absolutely giddy inside?
A: Being with my friends and family!
