Sassy Little Models| Frederick, Maryland Styled Child Photography

Towards the end of the fall, I ended up shooting a handful of family portraits.  After a late summer and fall full of seniors, it was quite a change of pace to switch back to shooting kids and families, which is where it all started for me.

I hopped in my car and headed south to my sister’s in Frederick. We had made plans for a family shoot in their woodsy back yard (coming up in the next blog post) however, when I arrived, my brother-in-law and his dad were busy working hard in the yard moving and chopping up trees and logs of all sizes. So, I knew it’d be A W H I L E before we’d start the actual family shoot. So, I got the chance to steal away my two oldest nieces for a little bit fun in downtown Frederick before we met back up with the rest of the clan for their family shoot.

If you take children’s portraits you know, that well, you are the mercy of their cooperation for ANY family shoot. Stealing away the girls for a little bit turned out to be the most fun I’ve had with them EVER in all the years I’ve been taking their photos…the results of which are below. These two little girls were SO into it, that when one was getting their pictures taken, the other one was busy shooting “behind the scenes” shots of me. ha ha ha.  While they had some direction from me, what you’ll see below is mostly them channeling their inner super models.
