Infusing our senior sessions with STYLE is synonymous with the type of senior portrait experience we want our Slice Seniors to have.  Last year while trekking out to the Souderton Area for back-to-back family weddings, I stumbled across this cute little boutique called Apricot Lane in Center Valley, just outside of Allentown.  While chatting up the staff as I checked out, they shared that there was an Apricot Lane opening up near us in the Lancaster area.

Upon doing my research, I came across their website that told me a bit more about the owners.  Their website reads:

“Susan and Jeff, along with their three daughters, Alicia, Brittany & Catherine, are proud owners of a franchise that also connects with their beliefs. Apricot Lane is so much more than a nationally known boutique where fashionistas can find great brands, style, and fashion. It is a franchise with a mission of making a difference in the world and helping those less fortunate. Apricot Lane has a great history of giving and doing their part through a program called 3Strands bracelets, which helps young girls and women make better lives for themselves. Learn more about 3Strands by clicking here.”

If you’ve been a fan of Slice of Lime and following along…you know of my heart for volunteerism, for giving back, and how I like to rally and support companies that work giving back into their business models….so reading about the owners heart for the same was all it took for me to know that I JUST HAD TO FIND A WAY to partner with this boutique.

While they were still just a kiosk, I visited Apricot Lane. The weekend their boutique opened, I visited the store…and after several other visits to the store….the rest is history. I started chatting with the staff at Apricot Lane (which by the way is THE NICEST group of girls I have met) about Slice Seniors and after teaming up with Senior Lovin’ as guest bloggers, Apricot Lane offered to provide us with fashions for the styled shoots we would be putting together for our guest blogger features.

A few weeks back Stephanie and I met up with Erin and Brittany, the managers of Apricot Lane Lancaster, and we got to tell them a bit more about our vision for Slice Seniors in the coming year and all the things we were dreaming up to bring style and fashion to our senior clients. They excitedly joined us in selecting pieces from around the store for our styled shoot. They even went as far as trying on some things for us and advising us on sizing for each of our models.  While shopping, we found a ton of Slice Senior favorites including riding boots, Aztec cardigans, Boho-y dresses, sequin minis, chunky scarves, blinged-out headbands and so much more. Yes, please, I’ll take one of everything. Thank you!

Below are some of the items from Apricot Lane that we styled using items from their store, as well as the Slice of Style closet, and pieces from our own closets.

Enjoy and be sure to visit Apricot Lane Lancaster in the East Shoppes at the Park City Mall. Oh, and tell them that we sent you!  We are excited for our collaboration with them and are excited about the fun and innovative things we have planned over the next few months.
