Today we continue our celebration of Real Beauty in support of Beauty Revived and their 50 Most Beautiful Women campaign. Today Slice Stylist, Stephanie weighs in with her thoughts on Real Beauty.

Real beauty isn’t about the labels on the back of our jeans, or the social labels we fall under, real beauty isn’t really about you. Real beauty to me is about mindfulness. When your are mindful, you are open and present. Being mindful typically leads to innate kindness and kindness is the most stunning shade of beauty I’ve ever seen.

She has a beautiful heart.

She has a beautiful mind.

She has a beautiful soul.

I’d use these to describe some of the most loving, nurturing, mentoring and giving women in my life. Sure they have stories about family vacations, battling illnesses, overcoming the odds, funnies about driving to work with their coffee mug on the roof of the car, and each story or moment in their life has definition and meaning, but it’s the times they sat and listened to other’s stories, the times they empathized, when they cried for someone else, that makes a woman more beautiful.
